23Bell LLC Announces the Formation of Explorys --- Company to Accelerate Research and IMPROVE Healthcare Through Real-Time Medical Data Search and Collaboration

For immediate release

CLEVELAND, Ohio — 11.12.2009 — Explorys today announced an equity partnership with Cleveland Clinic that brings together a vast network of researchers and clinicians spanning millions of patient visits, diagnoses, procedures, and outcomes.  Financing was led by Cleveland based 23Bell LLC and included Austin TX based Genesis Inventions.

Explorys was formed to accelerate research and improve healthcare through real-time medical data exploration and research collaboration.  Utilizing advanced "big data" technology, Explorys will enable the instantaneous search, tagging, and collaboration across some of the largest datasets in the world to identify opportunities for drug development, innovation, and more cost effective healthcare.

The company’s technology employs state-of-the-art data security and patient privacy technology enabling meaningful detection of correlations and trends to treat diseases, develop improved protocols and optimize outcomes.

“The ability to provide real time access to clinical information should make data analysis more efficient for researchers and clinicians, potentially shortening the time associated with generating new knowledge and understanding, which will benefit both patients and physicians,” said C. Martin Harris, M.D., Chief Information Officer at the Cleveland Clinic.

Explorys will be led by data pioneers Stephen McHale and Charlie Lougheed.  Mr. McHale will serve as Chief Executive Officer while Mr. Lougheed will begin serving the company as President and Chief Technology Officer in January.  In addition to leading 23Bell, Mr. McHale and Lougheed bring with them vast experience in founding and growing large data management and analytic based businesses.  After founding Cleveland-based Everstream in 1999 and developing it into the market leader for census level media measurement within telecommunications, Everstream was acquired by the Concurrent Computer Corporation [NASDAQ: CCUR] in 2005.

Explorys is located in NE Ohio within the major medical and technology hub at University Circle.  Explorys will be creating jobs and growth opportunities to positively impact the NE Ohio region
